Cosy self catering cottage in the Brecon Beacons

Ash Cottage is a superbly equipped and beautifully finished original stone cottage with roses around the door. A large inglenook fireplace with woodburner stove makes for cosy evenings. Flagstone floors and oak beams throughout add to the charm.

The cottage comfortably sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms. A pretty secure private garden adds to the charm. Centrally situated in the National Park with views of the hills this is an ideal base for walking,cycling and exploring.

A variety of hill walks start outside the front door. Ash cottage is in the village of Llangynidr, which has two pubs, one 3 minutes walk from the house, serving food, a village shop with post office and a garage. The River Usk and the Monmouth Canal flow through the village.

Parking is outside the cottage on the quiet road.

Great for hiking trips, rural/countryside retreats, cycling trips and visiting the many historic sights of Powys and South Wales. Abergavenny 12 miles, Brecon 9 miles and Crickhowell 4 miles.

Very handy for the annual Hay Literary Festival, Crickhowell Walking Festival, Abergavenny Food Festival and the Green Man Festival.

Up to two well behaved dogs are very welcome charged at £10 each.
